Squat Video Training Series – Day 6
Today’s videos will look at some more variations of the squat. Varying your squatting exercises help activate different muscle fibers and give your legs and glutes an ‘all-over’ workout.
Video 9 of the Squat Rx Training Series covers the JV or Askem squat, and the overhead squat. These help stability when squatting and in turn lead to greater progress to your squatting goals, while making the lift itself a lot safer, as you have more control during the exercise.
Video 10 will look more in depth and the set-up of the squat and breathing techniques. Breathing during the squat is very important due to the heavy weight that can be lifted, and the force exerted during the lift. This video will help you understand how and when to breath for maximal safety and effect during the squat.
